Why are you passionate about empowering young people to be safer drivers and passengers?

Youth who drive safely become adults who are safer on the road. ITD’s mission makes the roads safer for us all.

What draws you to the Impact Teen Drivers Mission?

I am passionate about youth development in all aspects. Vehicles and driving have always been an integral part of my life given both my parents employment and living in a rural area where we had to drive everywhere to get access to basic needs and services. More than one kid growing up had bad encounters with vehicles resulting in serious injury and death. ITD offers a tangible and fun approach to support youth in being safer behind the wheel, walking and biking.

Why do you enjoy being part of Impact Teen Drivers?

I really appreciate the passion of the staff to support young people.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Quilt, make art, take bike rides and hang out with family and friends.
