What is your background?

I graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts. I then got my Master's in Education at the University of South Florida and am currently completing my Master of Social Work degree at Arizona State University.

Why are you passionate about empowering young people to be safer drivers and passengers?

I have a background in College Student Administration and have seen firsthand how overwhelming it can be to address issues like safety, mental health, and student well-being on the "front lines". That experience has sparked my passion in prevention efforts of all kinds. I believe that with any public health issue the best way to create measurable change is through prevention, and I hope that our efforts result in less strain on our first responders and health professionals who deal with the aftermath of preventable crashes.

What draws you to the Impact Teen Drivers Mission?

ITD is all about empowering individuals to make smart decisions through education, and I have seen the change in attitude that can come from just one interactive presentation. It is such an amazing feeling to have a teen commit to being safer because our message resonated with them, and I truly believe we are saving lives every day.

Why do you enjoy being part of Impact Teen Drivers?

Being a part of ITD has allowed me to explore professional and creative interests I didn't even know I had! As a small team, each of us brings a unique experience to the table, and we are challenged to both utilize our inherent strengths as well as work on creating new ones. Also, the team is made up of utterly fabulous individuals who I am honored to call friends.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I run my own face painting business where I paint at kids' birthday parties and community events! You can also find me taking my dog, Audre, to the dog park, binging a new series with my cat, Kerwin, or trying new restaurants with my family. I am also known to spend the day at Disney Land (Yay AP holders!).

What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself?

Thoughtful, Passionate, Flowery
