What is your background?
I graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a degree in Communications.
Why are you passionate about empowering young people to be safer drivers and passengers?
I enjoy the work I do all over with diverse groups of teens and their parents. I love presenting the program because it’s an opportunity to save lives and educate them on a very important topic. It allows me to reach teens in a way that I never thought it would.
What draws you to the Impact Teen Drivers Mission?
I hope that the work our team does all over will one day stop this from happening to more families. I admire the strength that our affected family members have by sharing the worst day of their lives with complete strangers in the hope that no other families suffers what they do each and every day. If I can help our families reach as many teens as possible by sharing their stories and the messaging, I know one day no one will suffer the loss of a loved one due to a car crash.
Why do you enjoy being part of Impact Teen Drivers?
I enjoy everyone who I get the opportunity to work with. That could be teens, parents, first responders, health professionals, or educators. When we all come together and find that passion to save lives, it’s a great feeling to be a part of such a strong team. I know that each person that is a part of the team is working just as hard as I am to end reckless and distracted driving.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, my friends, and eating really good Mexican food.
What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
Ambitious, Compassionate, Easy-going
