What is your background?

I first became involved with Impact Teen Drivers in 2009 while attending UC Davis. After graduating, I continued working with ITD from New York City, where I earned my Master of Science degree in general education and special education.

Why are you passionate about empowering young people to be safer drivers and passengers?

I lost friends and peers to reckless and distracted driving. Each fatal crash was devastating with huge ripple effects throughout the community. I know we as individuals and as communities can make the roads safer for everyone when we educate and empower ourselves and others about this issue.

What draws you to the Impact Teen Drivers Mission?

I'm drawn to the focus on empowering young people, the strong foundation of research-based strategies and materials, and the big picture of changing the culture of driving. This mission can, and does, positively impact communities.

Why do you enjoy being part of Impact Teen Drivers?

The team is truly fantastic! Everyone brings unique voices and experiences into a collaborative space.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to travel, camp, craft, and read!

What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself?

Productive, organized, and creative
