Parents Program

Parents are the number one influencers of their teens’ attitudes and behaviors.

Impact Teen Drivers has created parent-teen workshops for parents and their teens to attend together, or for parents to attend to learn some of the strategies they can use to keep their teen safe on the road. Our programs deliver evidence-based strategies to help keep teens, their families, and everyone they share the road with safer including the importance of Graduated Driver Licensing laws, using a seat belt properly each ride, avoiding distractions, maintaining safe speeds, and parent role modeling of safe behaviors behind the wheel.

Impact Teen Drivers’ teen and parent-teen programs can be leveraged to meet the needs of the community and boost family engagement. Schools can choose to hold a school assembly during school hours and a parent-teen workshop after school on the same day for maximum impact in the community. Some schools choose to raffle campus parking permits off or make attendance by a parent with their teen mandatory for the teen to be able to drive to school.
