Carrie received her degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of California, Davis in 1990. She began her career with the CAHP in November 1991. She served in an administrative capacity until January 1995, when she promoted to the position of Labor Representative. In that role, she counseled the CAHP Area Representatives and the general membership on matters related to the application of the collective bargaining agreement, pay, benefits, working conditions and CHP policies and procedures.
In 2010, Carrie was promoted to the position of Chief Operations Officer and served in that capacity until her promotion to Chief Executive Officer in May 2015. As CEO, Carrie manages the overall operations of service to the CAHP membership, including administration of an annual budget of $5 million. She also serves as the Chief Negotiator responsible for bargaining pay, benefits and working conditions for CAHP members.
